The Skarpa Dobrska Nature Reserve is famous for its gullies, various xerophytes and a unique panorama of the Lesser Polish Gorge of the Vistula and the Chodel Basin.

The Reserve was founded on 1991 and covers 39.7 ha. It also encompasses the Western peirphery of the Bełżyce Plain. It lies within the area of the villages Podgórz and Dobre, and within borders of the Kazimierz Landscape Park. It focuses on protecting the natural exposures of quaternary rocks and xerothermic grasslands with rare plant species. The Reserve is famous for its gullies that are one of the deepest among such formations in Poland. Their depth ranges to 40 m. Among various plants we should definitely mention the pheasant’s eye, slender-leaved elecampane, scorzonera, needlegrass, weak arctic sedge (carex supina), the European dwarf cherry.
