St. Jacob’s Church in Golina

St. Jacob’s Church, located on the outskirts of a landscape park was built in 1765-1767. The Church was supposed to be placed in an open-air museum in Dziekanowice. Golina’s local inhabitants protested against this idea and the Church remained in the village.

The wooden parish Church was built in 1765-1767. On its both sides, there are two chapels: a concrete chapel from 1696 and a Wooden one from the 19th century. Three-nave Church. Decorated columns divide the interior into the 3 naves. Baroque and Rococo interior. A ‘Crucifixion’ painting from around 1600 on the main altar. In the side altars, there are 19th century paintings of St. Valentine and St. Isidore. Rococo ambo and two folk art, wooden figures of St. Sebastian and Crucified Christ.
