Lubartów city founded in 1543 can impress the tourists with its old, often wooden houses in the side streets and corners.

The town Lubartów was founded in 1543 by the governor of Lublin Piotr Firlej, initially called Lewartów, from the owners family coat of arms - Lewart. At the beginning of the seventeenth century, the town became the property of Sanguszko family. It was then renamed to Lubartów taken from the name of the Family ancestor - Lubart. At this close to thirty- thousand residents town beside such monuments as the parish Church, of St. Anna, Sanguszko’s manor house, Capuchin Church and the abbey to its main attractions is included the layout with wooden houses of some streets. Being in Lubartów the tourists must necessarily go through the Krzywe Koło, Kolejowa, Kościuszki, Orlicz Dreszera, 25 października, Słowackiego Streets. On these streets there are a lot of well-preserved wooden houses giving the specific nature of the area. Most of them are entered in the register of monuments.
