The former Greek Catholic church dedicated to St. Archangel Michael in Moszczanica

General

Unit type:

The former Greek Catholic church dedicated to St. Archangel Michael was built in 1719. It was thoroughly restructured in 1930 (a new women’s gallery was erected and the dome above the nave was transformed).

Between 1947 and 1991, it was used as a Catholic church. A free-standing wooden bell tower, erected before 1890, stands in the axis of the church. The church represents modest sacred wooden architecture, with a plan typical of older buildings and a dominant nave.
