Hrubieszów – post-dominican Church

In the centre Hrubieszow there is a Baroque Church and a complex of monastery buildings which is drawing the attention.

Dominican Church and monastery was built in years 1736-1766 on the site of an earlier wooden Church. It was built in the Baroque style and it is a small building with three nave construction and a modest design. The interior is mainly kept in the Rococo style. There is a bust of Stanisław Staszic and a plaque tombstone of Andrzej Kuropatnicki – the Castlelan, author of the book "Geography of the Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria". In the main altar there is a seventeenth-century painting of the Madonna and a Child in a metal dress. In the eighteenth century it was regarded as miraculous.

Next to the Church there is a four-sided brick bell tower from the second half of the nineteenth century to the Church is the former monastery now is the seat of the High School.
