Church of St. Martin

General

Unit type:

The Church was built in 1702 in Komprachcice. It is of log construction, with a tower built on a pole, which was quite often the case in wooden churches.

The interior of the Church contains many valuable objects. The rood beam holds a late Gothic crucifix of the 16th century with manneristic sculptures of Saints Peter and Paul from the 17th century. Probably sculptures come from the former Church. The main altar is Baroque - built in the early 18th century for the present Church. The central part holds the sculpture of the patron - St. Martin, and on the sides there are sculptures of Saints Gregory and Nicholas. The side gates hold sculptures of St. Florian and St. John of Nepomuk. Side altars from the same period – dedicated to St. Joseph and Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Relics also include the pulpit and baptismal font from the 18th century and the Baroque cabinet for oils, located in the vesrty.
