Church of All Saints

General

Unit type:

The Church was built in the 1460s and consecrated in 1464.

In the first half of the 17th century, a brick vesrty with a treasury on the first floor was added to the chancel, and a bell tower was added in the west elevation. After the mid-18th century, the Church was renovated and the interior was given Baroque furnishings. In 1884-1895, the Church was enlarged and completely rebuilt (nave was extended and the layout was changed from one nave to three nave, two chapels forming a kind of transept were added, private chapel of Załuski family was added to the chancel, walls were boarded, shingle removed and the tower was partially rebuilt). The new, neo-Baroque décor of the interior was also founded at that time. Wall and ceiling polychromies were done by Paweł and Jan Bogdańscy of Jaślisk. The new furnishings of the Church were done by a wood carver, Józef Aszklar of Lubatowa. Reconstruction caused a significant blurring of the original Gothic features.
