Townhouses at St. Nicholas and St. Christopher

Beautiful townhouses and always available, decorated with carvings of human and animal figures.

Townhouses were built in the seventeenth century. They were owned by brothers Nicholas and Christopher Przybyło, who decorated them with the images of their saint patron (hence the name). Both have the same arrangement of facades: ground floor with an arcade of three arches and a floor with three Windows. Facades are decorated with carvings of human and animals figures, as well as floral ornaments. It is a mixture of Christianity and mythology, Medieval fantasies and Renaissance grotesque. In a word, the whole epic carved in limestone and modeled in plaster mortar.
