The Warsaw Arsenal is the seat of State Archaeological Museum. You'll see here an archaeological relics taken from the area of whole Poland. You can also admire hand-made painted illustrations from the exhibitions.

The State Archaeological Museum invites you for permanent exhibitions. The exhibition called „Prehistory of Polish Lands” shows you material culture of people who lived there since stone age until the medieval period. Visiting „ABC of Romanesque Architecture” and „The Alphabet of Gothic Architecture” you will know fundamental problems of these styles. In the State Archaeological Museum you can also know the history of „Biskupin” - the fortified settlement from 2700 years ago. We have got also something for fans of Napoleonic period - the exhibition devoted to Polish war surgery from the years between 1807 and 1830. The exhibition named „The History of Warsaw Arsenal” shows you the history of building in which the museum has its seat. This building is strictly connected with important facts of Polish and Warsaw history. The children are invited for interesting lessons where they can make clay vase, the rattle-box or the Slavonic idol in clay using the old, traditional methods. They can produce replicas of glass beads from ancient times, weave threads into cloth on the Loom, hear the stories about the secrets of minting and make an old coin by themselves as well. Every year there is an histoical staging organized by The State Archaeological Museum called „The November Night 1830” in the outbreak of November uprising’s memory.
