The Museum shows the role of chaplains in the life of the army and the Polish nation over the centuries.

The Museum is located in the underground of the Cathedral Church of the Polish Army (Katedra Polowa Wojska Polskiego). Using modern methods of display, the Museum presents over a thousand years of the history of chaplains of the Polish army and the role they have played in that history, with particular emphasis on the period of World War II and the persecutions of the Catholic Church in the times of the communist rule. In the museum you can see documentaries and fiction films, listen to stories and memories and use touch panels. The exhibits include field altars, rosaries made by soldiers, photographs, distinctions, chasubles, uniforms and documents. A special place in the exposition is taken by memorabilia of the chaplains who died in the plane crash in Smoleńsk in April 2010.
The Museum is a branch of the Historical Museum of Warsaw
