Church of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Klępsk is a unique example of the Protestant art with renaissance elements. It is called the pearl of wooden architecture. It was built in the fourteenth century as a gothic, a village, Silesian, wooden Church. The building was operating for nearly three centuries as the seat of the Catholic parish. After the Reformation in 1576 the small wooden Church was taken over by the Protestants (Lutherans), who made the renovation. The result of this restructuring was the creation of beautiful, varied outer case(body) of the Church. At the beginning of the seventeenth century there were also works began on the interior frescos that decorated the Church almost in its entirety. Particularly noteworthy are the 117 paintings with biblical themes that adorn the walls there. These paintings are the most valuable elements of the Church interior. It was painted it in the late sixteenth / seventeenth century. The visitors can also admire the Mannerist gothic font and the altar of Our Lady and the Child dated from around 1400 and it is the master peace of the Silesia artist. This is the most valuable monument of Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
