The brick church was built on the initiative of the governor of Stężyca, Stanisław Taryło, at the turn of 15th and 16th century. It was rebuilt after the fires in 1638 and 1757 and it obtained its present shape at the end of the 18th century.

The brick church was built on the initiative of the governor of Stężyca, Stanisław Taryło, at the turn of 15th and 16th century. It was rebuilt after the fires in 1638 and 1757 and it obtained its present shape at the end of the 18th century. The church is oriented to the east and consists of one aisle. It has the features of the Lublin Renaissance. The facade is surmounted with an ornamented with the gable of arcaded alcoves, flanked with volutes. In the wall surrounding the church, there is a gate with a belfry dating back to the beginning of the 18th century. In the high altar there is an image of Visitation adorned with the baroque statues of the Bishops – St. Wojciech and St. Stanislaus, dating back to the end of the 17th century.
