The Roman Catholic Church in Uhowo dates back to XVI c. The first mention of the church can be found in the protocols from the convention of the aristocracy in 1569. The parish in Uhowo was established in the end of the XVIII c. It consists of 9 villages. The story of the parish had its ups and downs. In 1797, Uhowo lost the status of a parish, to regain it as late as in 1923.   The first wooden church built in Uhowo was sited in the middle of a manor. The next church was raised in 1753. Although it was also wooden, the church was considerably bigger and more opulent. It was situated in the place of the today’s church, which was erected on 15 august 1921, according to the project of Romuald Lenczewski. It is a red brick church incorporating a bell tower with the bells of: St. Michael and St. Vincent. Inside there are a presbytery, an antechamber, the main nave and a vestry.
