Juliusz Osterwa Theatre



This theatre is located in one of the three oldest theatre building in Poland.

The Theatre building originally called the "Great" was the social need in the years 1884-1886 replacing the too small - the Old Theatre. At those times it was a very modern building, representative, and three floors could accommodate 671 spectators. After the Second World War in 1949, the theatre took the name of Julius Osterwa. To this day, kept the scale and beauty of the rich architectural decoration and is consistently one of the biggest cultural attractions.
