The Synagogue

General

The Small Synagogue was built in 1912-1914, from the contributions of the Jewish population.

The testimony of the city's multicultural past is the Small Synagogue (bet-hamidrash). The building was built in 1912 - 1914 by Wesoła Street. The building has a richly decorated façade with elements of Art Nouveau (secession). After World War II the building was renovated in 1955 by the Polish Federation of Engineering. Next to the synagogue there is a rabbi's house, built around 1914, which is currently used as a residential building. Currently, in the facility there is a restaurant.
