Church dedicated to St Józef


General


The church with a history was redecorated a few times.

The church dedicated to St Józef was build within years 1782-1784 for Uniates. Inside one will find Rococo paintings dated back to the 18th century. The church survived a great fire in 1845, persecution of the Uniates (1867-1874). It was rebuild in 1899 by the Russians; during the I World War it was used as a prison and a shelter. After gaining the independence, the side nave was rebuild thanks to priest Kazimierz Korsznieiwcz.
