First record about Szemrowice is found in document of purchase by Mateusz Szemrowski and his wife Helena. About 1500 there was built a wooden larch church of The Holy Trinity. The chapel of St.Sebastian survived after a fire.

The chapel of St. Sebastian in Szemrowice. The wooden chapel of St. sebastian from XVIII cent. survived after a fire of the wooden church of The Holy Trinity in 1965. It has been renovated and it is situated on the square by the cemetary of a newly-built church in place of the old one. In Szemrowice, by the road Szemrowice-Makowczyce, there is located a chapel of Our Mother of Perpetual Help from 1946 built by the tenants as a tablet for saving them during the war.
