A complex of buildings from 1843-1882 and the 1980s in a historicist style with a majority of neo-Gothic.
The library was designed by Jan Aleksander Ciunkiewicz probably in 1843. Expansions in 1882-1900 were carried out according to the design of Konstanty Adalbertowski. In 1981-1982 the west wing was added. On the same square, there is the Cathedral Basilica of the Diocese of Włocławek.
