The tower is situated by the Green Route on an elevation between the lakes of Mulaczysko and Wigry. It provides a view of the southern part of Lake Wigry stretching as far as the church in Gawrych Ruda. The marshy meadows beneath the tower slope down to the Krusznik Lake and in spring are frequently visited by the crane (Grus grus) and white stork (Ciconia Ciconia). To the south side of the slope there is Lake Mulaczysko. A dark forest line beyond the lake marks the plains of the Augustów Primaeval Forest. The tower in Krusznik is a perfect viewpoint to watch falconiformes – common buzzards (Buteo buteo), harriers (Circus) and white-tailed eagles (Haliaeetus albicilla).
