Wooden Church in Rzeczyca Ziemiańska delights with a harmonious shape typical for the folk religious architecture.

Initially, there was only a chapel in the village. On the very site Church of the Transfiguration was founded in 1753. Its founders were the owners of Rzeczyca: Katarzyna and Aleksander Suchodolscy. In 1772, the Church was consecrated by the Bishop of Cracow and the parish was established. In 1850, the painter Jan Kaliszewski completed the polychrome murals in the interior of the temple. Originally the Church was covered with shingles. Currently, the roof is covered with metal sheet. The temple itself is made of larch bales and did not change significantly. There is an original roof trusses of a rare design preserved. It is a neat wooden Church in the proportion of medium size with typical folk religious architecture block. The framework is supported by a foundation and boarded with vertical boards painted with oil paint medium walnut color. The nave has a shape similar to a square, but is higher and wider than the choir. The main altar is decorated with statues of saints and a scene of the Transfiguration. The second picture behind shows the Virgin Mary with the Child. When it comes to furnishing of the Church, it is worth noting that there are the eighteenth-century items: a painting of St. Anna Samotrzeć, crucifix in Rococo style, the copper pot for water and two ornates for Polish belt. These qualities caused that the temple in Rzeczyca Ziemiańska was placed in the historical architecture list.
