The exact time of construction of the Church is not known. Its founding can be related to the donation for the parish done by Bishop Piotr Chrząstowski in 1448, or the fact of the foundation confirmation by Bishop Piotr z Bnina Moszyński in 1482.
Perhaps it was built by the same workshop that the Church in Blizne – those two churches have a lot in common. System used here is one of the oldest types of construction of wooden churches. Most likely, the Church was built in the 2nd half of the fifteenth century
