The Basilica is a remarkable piece of architecture inspired by the Roman Pantheon. It is a monumental but also extremely harmonious neoclassical building with a huge dome.
Construction of the church started in 1925, from the beginning belonged to the Congregation of the Missionaries of St. Vincent de Paul. Till the Second World War the church was not finished. Reconstruction after the war and the finishing work continued until recent years. The Church is one of the largest in northern Poland - has more than 2,700 square meters. The massive dome has a very rich decoration.The large part of the interior of the church is designed by Wiktor Zin.
