It is located in the old Hatzfeld Palace, which after the war was saved as a ruin and adapted for presenting modern art.
The goal of this gallery is to show and popularise the effects of artists work referring to culture problems. Besides the exhibitions the gallery organises meetings with authors, artists, critics, anthropologists, art historians and workshops for children and youth introducing them in the art issues. The gallery represents the classic of Polish modern art. It cooperates with the Academy of Arts, by organising the students’ exhibitions.
