Friendship Park was founded as a result of remediation of clay pits from the seventies. The park covers 11.13 ha and is located in the southern part of the city, on the upland over the Prosna Valley. The Park lies between Polna, Południowa, Skalmierzycka and Sułkowskiego Streets. There are a few thousand bushes in the park area, such as mock oranges, spireas, forsythias, cotoneasters, and various trees, for example maples, lindens, sycamores, chestnuts and willows.
